Tuesday at Tatem tomorrow, starting at 6:30. Weather looks good, if a little chilly.

Drills to be decided tomorrow, will post here.

Not much this week on skates. I am at a film festival on Tuesday and Wednesday night and have some big dentist work on Saturday so I'll be missing any fast skating. Could do a session at Tatem on Thursday. Might go for a bike ride at some point in the week. Right now I am just thinking about dryland.

Did some skating on a track today here in Hamburg, but not really intense. Hopefully the weather will stay dry so that I can do some technique stuff again.

Bugger.  So did I (and I'm the Assn. secretary ...).  OK, then:

Monday: Long Slow Sightseeing
Tuesday: Tatem, if the scabs on my knee let me bend it
Wed: dry land (if ditto)
Thu: rest (hmm.  Shall we organise sardinia-style warmup exercises for the marshal meeting? ;-)
Fri: LFNS marshalling
Sat: Richmond
Sun: anyone want to go to Hillingdon?  It'd be nice to see what it looks like before the time trial.

Went to Hillingdon Yesterday. Didn't check availability beforehand and there was a race going on.

Yup, I'm up for that, I can do a pickup from Central London. Can you check if it's available? I want to be back for the Stroll as I'm down to marshal.

Am up for richmond and hillingdon at the weekend (all lifts welcome!) As a first-timer (skater) at richmond, can someone take me down 'the hill' for at least my first go - i think i should be ok but i dont want to get caught in the scary cyclist packs  Shocked
Dont know what i'm during the week - work is too unpredictable

The penultimate lap (ok, first lap) that we do is relatively chilled so we can skate as a pack and pass on specific skating tips for specific parts of the park.  There's a small long downhill where we can tuck in as a pack and coast it through.

As for the hill, we usually wait for a clear gap before heading down so that should give you enough time to give you distance between cyclists and cars.
The only thing you have to wary of is oncoming traffic, but even then, you can see what's coming from a fair distance and plan accordingly Smile

- 10 min warm up
- Starts
- 2 or 3 x 10 min skating @ 80%. Drill depends on numbers
- 5 min cool down

At this point in the afternoon, I have to admit that they don't, much.  Any kind of leg movement is uncomfortable enough that I'm not really enthusiastic about doing more of it for fun, so I might just skip this evening.
