| You can. I'll be finished by 11:30. Will probably skate to the circuit for a warm-up. |

Ouch. Tired, I expect to be crap at Hillingdon. Ankles want a rest, knees want a rest and my "Berlin Calf" wants a rest. Hope tonight it going to be enough. Will do lots of stretching and see how it goes. Thankfully nobody was feeling fast on this afternoon's route check. Oh yes, nearly forgot, must get some sleep too so the body can heal itself and I can keep my eyes open again. Still having fun though.
Looking forward to my day of rest on Monday. |

You're not going to get a day of rest on Monday if you want to do lfns route check next week, as it's been moved from Tuesday for reasons of Valentine's Day. I doubt I'll be there:my anklebones have decided that neoprene was only a temporary fix not a permanent solution.
Anyone fancy a bit of cycling "cross-training" tomorrow 1pm? We need a volunteer to ride the (LondonSkate) bike for the Stroll tomorrow. PM me if interested - it's supposedly not much harder work than a "normal" bike. |

Finally a nice and sunny day today . So after an indoor session yesterday Michi and me did a relaxed 20k outdoor skate, giving her another go at her new boots. It's amazing how well she is handling the switchover from rec to speed boots, no pronation to be seen. Still a bit of lost skin though. |

Glad someone had some nice skating weather, it's been terrible here in London today. It's about time we had some rain though, there's about to be a drought at this rate.
Michi must be very pleased, I'm very impressed to hear how well you're doing girl! I bet your lack of pronation winds up Merten, if only a little. |

It does but it seems I have to accept that my right ankle collapses slightly on setdown. I have played quite a lot with my frame adjustment and in Sardinia even Sebby did not really seem to have an idea what to do about it. I might try and get some of these canting plates from Junker and see if that helps. Anyway, it does not trouble me even when skating loads. |

Yeah, I like the way I can stand on my skates although I was really upset yesterday evening that I had 2,5 open blisters on my feet
But I will try again with my neoprene booties, maybe this helps. And then I have to train a lot before Sardinia... |

Follow-up on this: I got the plates now and they seem to work very very well. I had no comparable problems today when I was out skating with Michi. I will need to do some more skating to be sure, but it seems there is one more reason to recommend Junker to people with dodgy feet like me |
